We believe in harnessing the amazing cleansing and healing properties of top organic ingredients. We insist on using natural ingredients in all our recipes (and nothing artificial) because we know that the harsh chemicals found in traditional toothpastes can pass straight into your bloodstream via your gums – or into your digestive system when swallowed – and build up in your body over time. That’s not good for anyone.
Yes. Any ingredient in our recipes which can be organic is organic. In fact, Boca toothpastes contain the highest percentage of organic ingredients of any toothpaste on the market.
Yes, they are.
If you brush regularly, our organic toothpastes will whiten your teeth the safe, natural way. But we don’t use any of the fast-acting, harmful chemicals found in traditional whitening toothpastes. Not only can those abrasive chemicals find their way straight into your bloodstream, but they can also damage your enamel, cause discolouration and weaken your teeth over time. So, instead of using any harsh whitening chemicals like hydrogen peroxide, we stick to active botanical ingredients and gentle abrasives which whiten your teeth the gentle way. N.B. if you are looking for chemical whitening, this should only be undertaken by dentists, as hydrogen peroxide is toxic and dangerous to handle.
Some dentists recommend that their patients use toothpastes which contain fluoride. However, sometimes people prefer a fluoride-free formulation, if they’re hypersensitive to fluoride or concerned about using it. We make both fluoride and fluoride-free toothpastes, so there’s something for everyone.
Yes, they are. And we never, ever test our toothpastes on animals.
We’re committed to only using organic ingredients in all our toothpastes, which means that everything we make is at the mercy of the environment. For example, if the weather’s particularly bad one season, or if a crop isn’t doing so well, we might need to source one of our ingredients from a different organic farmer. That’s why the taste, aroma and texture might vary slightly, from blend to blend. Most traditional toothpaste manufacturers use heavily-processed artificial ingredients to ensure complete consistency – but we don’t believe in that. Natural is best.
We make all our toothpastes in the UK.
Each set of 65ml toothpastes should last about 8 weeks, (each tube is 65ml) if you’re a good brusher. But if you find you’re getting through yours faster or slower than that, you can always change your subscription.
Absolutely, both the tube and cap are fully recyclable. And we’re now working with TerraCycle to make recycling them even easier. If you’re up for joining this initiative, we’ll We’ll simply send you a box to collect your empty tubes – simply return them to us (for free) every 6 months, and we’ll post them on to TerraCycle, to be recycled. Our dream is to go completely plastic free, so we’re working closely with manufacturers to create a fully compostable tube. Watch this space.
Our brushes are made from Moso bamboo (the kind of bamboo that pandas don’t eat) and are fully compostable.
All toothbrushes need changing after a couple of months, as the bristles start to wilt, making them less effective.
Unfortunately not – we don’t do wholesale. We want to keep our the prices as low as possible by cutting out the middleman.
You can! You can also cancel at any point.
Absolutely. Twice-daily brushers would usually need a delivery every 8 weeks, however you can always see how you go, and tweak the delivery frequency accordingly.
Once we’ve sent you your replacement brush, you can simply chop off the bristles of your old brush and compost the handle.
